Veloster anyone?

Veloster anyone?

It seems the Koreans are no longer only good at producing spicy Kim Chi. They now have the ability to translate some of this spiciness into their car design.

To debut in the upcoming Frankfurt motor show, the chilli hot-looking Veloster, a sporty two-plus-two, derived its name from the combination of "velocity" and "roadster".

Styled at Hyundai’s Design and Technical Centre at Namyang, the company’s central styling studio in Korea, this latest concept represents a bold new direction for the company.

Aimed squarely at the Y-generation, this sporty-looking two-plus-two represents the essence of simple, iconic design with good value and robust construction. A panoramic glass roof and other futuristic styling cues are thrown into the mix to help project a high-tech image.

“With Veloster, we wanted to try something really different. We’re keenly aware that we need radically new products for the Y-generation, the first-time buyer in their twenties,” said Oh Suk-Geun, Hyundai’s vice president of design.
