Volkswagen Group Singapore has joined forces with leading Singapore-headquartered payment institution FOMO Pay to accept payments in digital currencies, allowing customers to use Bitcoin, Ethereum and stablecoins like USDT and USDC for its vehicles and services.

This move is in response to rising local usage, offering faster, more secure and cost-effective transactions while reinforcing its forward-looking brand. Daily payments are capped at S$4,500, with a maximum of S$13,500 per customer.

Using FOMO Pay’s platform, VGS now accepts digital currencies for partial vehicle purchases and aftersales services, with secure, compliant transactions processed at real-time exchange rates.

"An increasing number of consumers today are digital natives. They expect speed and convenience across all touchpoints, including how they pay," said Dr. Kurt Leitner, Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Singapore. "Our partnership with FOMO Pay aligns with our broader vision of delivering premium experiences powered by technology and innovation."
