Volkswagen On Par With Golf Match

Volkswagen Singapore has just announced the arrival of the new Golf Match, bringing extra equipment and even better value to customers.

Fitted as standard on the Golf Match is Volkswagen’s innovative Park Assist system. Park Assist supports both parallel and perpendicular parking manoeuvres, and it can also steer the car out of extremely tight parallel parking spaces with gaps of only 25 cm to the front and rear.

Other new features on the Golf Match include door mirrors finished in highgloss black (just like the Golf R’s), a headlamp washer system, dark-tinted rear side windows and ‘Stratford’ 16-inch alloy wheels. ‘Match’ badges on the front fenders clearly identify this special model.

Inside, there are unique interior trim panels, front door scuff plates and silvergrey stitching on the handbrake and gear levers. Dual-zone climate control, a multi-function trip computer and the RCD310 in-car entertainment system with 8 speakers are all standard, while the electronic stabilisation programme (ESP) and 7 airbags take care of safety.

As with its predecessor, the Golf Match is powered by the award-winning combination of Volkswagen’s 1.4 TSI engine with 122 bhp and a 7-speed DSG transmission. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in only 9.5 seconds, yet consumes only 6.0 L/100km of fuel, equivalent to 138 g/km of CO2 emissions.

The Golf Match will be officially launched to the public on 30 June 2012, with exciting activities for the whole family happening at both Volkswagen Centre Singapore (Alexandra) and Volkswagen Centre Singapore (MacPherson). Prices start from $129,300 with COE.
