Volvo Sponsoring FINA/ARENA World Cup In Singapore

Volvo has signed on as the Official Automobile Sponsor for the FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup 2012 Singapore. The annual circuit, which culminates in Singapore, will see the world’s best aquatic swimmers competing over the short course (25m) for prize money.

In its 6th consecutive year of hosting the event, Singapore is the last leg in a series of 8 cities that includes Dubai, Doha, Stockholm, Moscow, Berlin, Beijing and Tokyo. The event will be held at the Singapore Sports School on the 10th and 11th of November 2012.

Coming off the back of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the event could potentially see world beaters and Olympic medallists from the USA, Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia battling out for a prize purse.

Volvo is providing a fleet of XC90 7-seater SUVs, XC60 SUVs and S80 luxury sedans, for the transportation of officials throughout the event period. The fleet, identified by special event branding, will be on the road in the week leading up to the event.
