VW Cars Sdn Bhd now SIC partner for official track wagons

The smart partnership between SIC and VW Cars Sdn Bhd, distributors for Volkswagen cars in Malaysia will see a total of 42 cars of various models gracing the circuit during the race week.

Present to officiate the deal at the Sepang International Circuit today is SIC Chairman Dato Mokhzani Tun Mahathir and CEO Razlan Razali.

Representing VW Cars is it's Chairman Dato Ilyas Mohamed and it's Director of Sales Helmi Ilyas.

"SIC is proud and grateful to be working with VW Cars Sdn Bhd ahead of the race weekend. We hope this is the beginning of many good things to come," said SIC CEO Razlan Razali.

The sponsorship by VW cars will see eight (8) Touaregs, eight (8) Passats, two (2) R32s, 2 Jettas, a Beetle, a Cross Polo and 20 Golf GTIs.

The deal which begins from Mar 27 and ends on April 7 will see the cars used for various purposes including on track and pre-race preparation usage.

"Again, we are grateful for the sponsorship as things are getting busier as we are getting closer to the race day and the cars will help smoothen the process," said Razlan.

Besides being the SIC official track wagons for the race, the cars will also be the shuttle for corporate suite and Perdana suite guests.

Corporate clients will no longer have to walk in to their respective boxes as they will be chauffeur driven right to the door with the Volkswagen cars.

SIC will also shuttle Perdana suite guests to the paddock from their cars parked at various bays around the track.
