Web-poll results after the first weekend

After the first weekend of the 8th Singapore Motorshow, oneshift.com’s web-poll results reveal interesting details about viewer preferences. While its no surprise that newly launched SUVs like the Mazda CX-7 and Subaru Tribeca came in tops, it is interesting that the Nissan Murano out-polled the Qashqai, the new SUV that Nissan plans to launch next year. In the ‘Sedan’ category, the Subaru Impreza WRX out-ranked the Honda Civic and Mazda 3, even though both the latter are newer models. Subaru continued to dominate in the ‘Large Sedan’ segment, beating the new Lexus LS460, which comes in second. The Lexus IS250 and Toyota Camry tie for third position. The Alfa Romeo 147 ranked highly in the ‘Hatchback’ segment, coming in third after the Suzuki Swift Sport and Honda Jazz. The Honda Odyssey came in first in the MPV segment, narrowly beating the Toyota Previa and Nissan Presage. For ‘Coupes/Roadsters’, there are two ties – the Lexus SC430 and Nissan 350Z are tied for first, while the Mazda RX-8 and Subaru S204 are tied for second. Lamborghini firmly dominates the ‘Supercar’ segment, taking all three places, while Ferrari and Maserati don’t seem to be so popular. As for show stands, size matters, and its no surprise that Subaru leads, while Toyota comes in a second. A surprising third is Ferrari. The show and the poll are still on until 19th November, so these rankings may change. If you feel these results don’t reveal your feelings, then vote at http://www.oneshift.com/poll/list_polls.php.
