WeRide: The first Social Network for motorcycle riders is born

The app is the work of a start-up created by four young entrepreneurs from Barcelona with the support of the Irish company Delta Partners, one of the most active venture capital firms in Europe.

After the good results of the First Launch in Spain last April, WeRide is now ready to launch internationally. The community has grown to almost 50,000 bikers and has increased naturally worldwide mainly in Italy, France, UK. The firm has announced a Press Launch at the forthcoming MotoGP of Motorland Aragon on 27 September.

Main features of WeRide:

• Friends: Share the passion for two wheels with bike friends or find new friends anytime, anywhere.

• WeChat: Instant messaging to chat with friends and groups. Plan motorcycle trips, send pictures and routes.

• Groups: To create groups, both private or public. To chat, share experiences, pictures, routes, knowledge and keep up to date of the topics of your interest.

-Public Group: To connect to other users with similar interests, either by type of bike, MotoClub, Fan club, etc.

-Private Group: In a private group you can have conversations with your usual fellow travellers, plan your rides, send routes, photos. And activate WeSpot!

• WeSpot: The GPS locator. Activate WeSpot inside a private Group to locate your friends on a map, ideal for route regrouping when someone is lost.

• Routes: Design your routes and share with groups or friends. Plan your trips to detail or find new routes from other users on the way!
