MINI John Cooper Works 1.6 Review: Don't call me "baby"

If you've been looking at a MINI and thought the Cooper S isn't fast enough for your hot-blooded, hot-hatch lovin' personality, the John Cooper Works version might be the one for you. A 211bhp MINI, anyone?

And it all comes down at a price. The MINI John Cooper Works leaves the showroom for $159,000. That’s a stonking $30k more than the Cooper S and, while not exactly a bargain, it beats other turbocharged hot-hatches (read: Renault Megane R26 and Volkswagen Golf GTI) in the performance department.

But then again for $149,800, you can get the BMW 130i. Something to ponder about? You decide.

So unless you have a deep pocket and am seeking a fun car to drive around in during the weekend, MINI’s John Cooper Works should be the best answer.

Mere mortals like me can only fantasize.
