They’re all good. But then when it comes to paying something more than $90k, you do have to put into consideration the all-important “what do I get for this amount I’m paying for?” factor.

The CR-V is another product of Honda that, we’ve already come to know, sells simply because of (a) its badge appeal and (b) its outlook. But at $100,800, it crosses the psychological $100k mark and for the general motoring public, is a tad too much to pay for.

The RAV4 has the roomiest cabin here, especially after its recent facelift exercise that also saw some changes with its interior dimensions. But that trait alone doesn’t impress us much, as there are bits that we feel, need improvement. While part-sharing is an acceptable affair within the automotive industry, consumers might be turned-off – especially when you’re paying $95,988. However, the effort of providing premium items like fully-leathered interior, quality audio head-unit and reverse camera gets our thumbs-up still.

And then there’s the Koleos. This French metal is our winner in this group test simply because of the total package it provides for $92,888 – high quality interior, premium Bose sound system, cool key-card, excellent driveability and an outlook that stands out from the usual SUV crowd. It’s not gimmicky, and we don’t have to split our hair just to determine it as the choice – at the same time, lets hope we’ll see more of it on our roads. Oh, and how can I forget the fact that it was awarded 5 Stars in the Euro NCAP?
