Audi's Q5 SUV now available in Singapore
The "performance SUV" from Audi aims to raise the bar in this ever-competitive segment.

The new Q5, the SUV that Audi claims combines the dynamism of a sports sedan with highly variable interior and versatile options for leisure time and family use, has arrived in Singapore. Strong and efficient engines, quattro permanent all-wheel drive and agile running gears have been brought together to create what Audi boldly claims “a superior technology package for both on and off-road driving”.
Highlights include the innovative seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission and the Audi drive select control system.
The Audi Q5 comes to Singapore in two engine variants - a 2.0 TFSI and a 3.2 FSI. The smaller 2.0 TFSI produces a 211bhp @ 4,300rpm, 350Nm @ 1,500rpm and will do the century sprint in 7.6 seconds. The 3.2 FSI, on the other hand, produces 270bhp @ 6,500rpm, 330Nm @ 3,000rpm and does its century sprint in 6.9 seconds.
Measuring 4.63 meters long and 1.88 meters wide, the Audi Q5 is just 1.65 meter high, giving it a sportier appearance. Its 2.81-meter wheelbase – the best in the segment – provides for plenty of onboard space. Furthermore, this SUV sets another benchmark in its class with a low drag coefficient of 0.33.
The Audi Q5 comes equipped with the new twin-clutch, seven-speed S-tronic transmission. Drivers can let the seven-speed S-tronic shift automatically or select gears manually, when desired.
The Q5 2.0 TFSI retails for $167,400 while the 3.2 FSI for $195,600. Both prices include COE.
