Escapology

On the kind invitation of both Hertz Singapore and MTPB, yours truly joined the convoy for this maiden road trip. I was given the keys to a Ford Mondeo 2.0 (A) courtesy of Hertz Singapore. Besides me, the convoy also consist of members of the press from Europe, who are here to experience this driving holiday package.

Over the span of three days and two nights, we drove from Singapore to Cameron Highlands, then down to Port Dickson, and then finally to Malacca before heading back to Singapore. We experienced driving on the North-South highway, up and down hilly roads and also the kampong roads. And not forgetting the yummy local delicacies (traditional cendol for example) we manage to savour too…

Driving up North is nothing new to most of us, but what we sometimes take for granted are the beautiful scenery that surrounds us. You’ll get to see villages, then there are also the mountains and valleys, together with lush greenery – something you don’t get to see while driving in Singapore!

Hertz Singapore Drive & Stay packages are priced from S$499 to S$830 for two adults - which includes 2 nights’ twin-sharing accommodation with daily buffet breakfast – and 3 days’ car rental with the choice of a 1.6-litre sedan or a 2.0-litre sedan. The car rental includes unlimited mileage, loss damage waiver (subject to excess) and Malaysia entry surcharges. The package is valid for booking until 30th June 2009.
