On my particular visit, I saw an awe-inspiring range of vehicles, ranging from the original 356 number 1 to the original Boxster concept car to the impressive collection of 917s. I will let the accompanying pictures do the talking.

Downstairs, at the café, visitors can peer through glass wall into the clean and tidy workshop where factory technicians in blue overalls set about restoring and maintaining Porsches.

Located above the workshop is the archive, also visible through glass walls, where the company's historical documentations are kept. Upon advanced registration, owners and enthusiasts can visit this very special place, browsing through the many documents, literature, videos, photos and books.

Residing next to the café is a restaurant that serves both local and international cuisine. Across the main atrium is the gift shop that has a wide variety of merchandise, souvenirs and memorabilia available for both visitors and souvenir hunters alike.

If you are a Porsche owner or enthusiast, I am sure that I don't have to tell you a second time that this new museum is a compulsory stop on the itinerary of your next trip to Germany. Even if you are not, it is still worth your while to make your way there if you happen to be in the area to check out the activity in the workshop while having a sandwich and sipping a cappuccino, and pick up a souvenir on your way out.
