Following the official launch of the Audi High Voltage Competence Centre, Audi Singapore hosted myAudiworld members on 2 June for a Tech Talk session to learn more about the latest Audi e-tron technology.

Audi’s e-tron technology is Audi’s efforts to eventual zero-emissions vehicles. Audi customers were among the first in the Asia Pacific region to experience first-hand, the latest in e-tron technology. During the event, the A3 Sportback and Q7 e-tron models were on display, with customers able to see how their electrical drive and power cell systems really worked.

The electrical drive technology in the e-tron series of Audi cars would form part of the basis for future self-driving cars, which is not too far off in the near future; looking at how quick self-driving technology is progressing.

Guided by Audi’s flying doctors from Germany, participants tried their hand at using the high-voltage charging stations, analytical tools and e-tron vehicle components. The interactive hands-on activities taught participants about the e-tron vehicle specifications and how to charge them, the importance of the tools in relation to safety, and about the different components in an e-tron vehicle. To top off the experience, they were also able to test drive the Audi Q7 e-tron.

Gillian Cheok, an Audi customer who recently purchased an Audi S5, attended the Audi Tech Talk and said, “This is my first Tech Talk and definitely won't be my last. I think these sessions are great for us owners to learn more about the ins-and-outs of our cars beyond just sending them for servicing. I was particularly interested in this session because the concept of e-cars is foreign to me and I wanted to see if it is something I would consider buying in the future."
