A Supercharged Lotus Elise?
217hp, 0-96 in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 240km/h. Lotus has introduced an all new "Elise SC", which runs an all-new, non-intercooled version of the Elise’s 1.8L 2-ZZ VVTL-i engine.

Eidentified by the new rear spoiler and unique alloy wheels, there are many similarities with the existing Exige S.
Unfortunately, for tuner-savvy friend familiar to the engine, the Magnuson Supercharger has been welded into the air intake, and the entire assembly, along with the absence of any sort of intercooling devices, saves 8kg over the Exige S.
With 217hp and a kerb weight of just 903kg the Elise SC accelerates to 96km/h in just 4.4 seconds, 160km/h in 10.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 240km/h.

The Exige S also comes in for an upgrade, picking up a Performance Pack that lifts output to 240hp and includes uprated brakes and clutch as well as driver-adjustable launch control and traction control systems. With the new additions the 0-100km/h comes up in four seconds flat and top speed moves to 248km/h.
Lotus Exige S owners need not fret, because they still own their place on track due to a superior aerodynamics package, which generates up to 42kg of downforce at 160km/h. (MA)
