Alfa Romeo 4C Makes a Public Debut
The anticipated public debut of the Alfa Romeo 4C sports car took place last weekend at the Festival of Speed. The Alfa 4C made a series of runs up the famous Hillclimb. Its first launch was at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year where it was met with critical acclaim. The Italian sports car represents the true essence of a sports car, with the authentic values of the Alfa Romeo brand which is Italian style, performance and technical excellence, offering maximum driving satisfaction in total safety.
Like its predecessor the 33 Stradale, the Alfa 4C is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive, compact sports coupé. The Alfa 4C offers supreme agility with compact dimensions of just under 4m long, 2m wide and 118cm high making it incredibly aerodynamic and efficient. It is powered by a new aluminium, direct injection, 240hp 1750cc turbo petrol engine, developing 350Nm of torque. With state-of-the-art technical and technological solutions, the Alfa 4C is pushed to reach real supercar performance with a power to weight ratio of more than 250hp per ton.
The two-seater, 240hp supercar was joined at the event by a cross-section of Alfa Romeo historic race cars from the Alfa Romeo Museum, including the stunning 33 TT 12, the 8C 2900B Speciale tipo "Le Mans", and a 1750 GT Am.
