Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolet make their local debut
The topless versions of the A5 and S5 coupes were launched here today.
Unlike its nearest competitors, the new topless Audis feature a traditional fabric hood rather than a folding metal hardtop one. The hood can be lowered electrically in just 15 seconds while 17 seconds is needed to raise it. In addition, the hood can be operated while on the move at speeds below 50km/h.
The A5 2.0 TFSI quattro is powered by the Q5's 211bhp turbocharged four-pot and features the highly acclaimed seven-speed S-Tronic twin clutch gearbox. 0-100km/h comes up in 7.3 seconds with top speed quoted at 238km/h.
The sporty S5 Cabriolet gets the S4's 3-litre supercharged V6 that makes 333bhp and 450Nm. it also features a quattro drivetrain and a seven-speed S-Tronic box.
The A5 Cabriolet 2.0 TFSI quattro retails at $204,900 while the S5 Cabriolet is $268,000
