Audi Offers Us Some “E”
Well, not so much the kind of “E” which you might be thinking of, but more like economy (though they will be using the same letter to represent it). The German manufacturer will be adding four new models to its range. The cars, which come in petrol and diesel variants, will offer superb economy and also includes a range of features to help its driver achieve lower fuel consumption.

Soon to arrive will be the A3, the A3 Sportback 1.9 TDI e, A4 2.0 TSFI e saloon and the A4 2.0 TSFI e Avant. The A3s will give you a range of about 1,200 km, which is about 4.5l/100km, while the A4 2.0 TSFI covers up to about 1,000 km, or in other words 7.1l/100km.
A standard feature on these new models will be a gearshift indicator, which will tell the driver when best to change gears. Located in the middle of the instrument cluster, the new contraption will also analyse driving situations and engine load speed, indicating according to its calculations.
An interesting model to watch would be the A4 2.0 TFSI as it generates 170bhp, allowing the petrol-sipping car to top 230km/h, and hitting 100km/h in 8.3 seconds. If performance isn’t so much your cup of tea, then it would probably be rather difficult to find anything else of such quality and economy, other than the A3.
Unfortunately for Audi fans, we probably won’t be seeing any “RS4 e” any time soon.
