Luxury EV brand AVATR has entered the Singapore market with a high-profile launch at Capella Singapore, unveiling its flagship model, the AVATR 11. Showcased for the first time locally, the AVATR 11 reflects the brand’s “New Luxury” vision, which merges cutting-edge technology with contemporary design. Established in 2018, AVATR is a collaboration between CHANGAN Automobile, CATL and Huawei.

The AVATR 11 merges bold supercar styling with SUV functionality. Its sleek, aerodynamic form is based on the “golden ratio” (0.61 ratio of axle length) - a magic formula that makes supercars aesthetically so striking. Design highlights include a UFO-inspired front, F-shaped LED headlamps, frameless doors, flushed handles and a panoramic sunroof.

22-inch rims for the Long Range variant

It’s equipped with a sophisticated suspension setup - front double wishbones and rear five-link suspension for a balance of comfort, stability and handling. Wheelbase is measured in at a lengthy 2,975mm, with 21-inch wheels on the Standard Range and 22-inch wheels with yellow Brembo calipers fitted on the Long Range.

Dual “zero-gravity” seats

Bask in a luxurious cabin with rich NAPPA leather and a wraparound cockpit layout. Its front “zero-gravity” seats feature ventilation, heating and a five-mode adjustable massage function. Advanced sound insulation, including 22 cavity partitions and leather-wrapped door panels, delivers near-silent ride quality with NVH levels just 0.1 dB above a Maybach at 120km/h. A bold claim for sure from the brand, but mighty impressive.

Meridian sound system

The AVATR 11’s cabin is enhanced by a 25-speaker Meridian sound system. It also offers customisable ambient lighting with 256 color options. The cockpit centres around a 15.6-inch touchscreen controlling navigation, media and climate, complemented by 10.25-inch displays for both driver and passenger.

Now for the big numbers…

Both Standard and Long Range variants are rear-wheel drive, and feature CATL batteries and an 800V SiC electric drive system, delivering identical outputs - 230kW and 370Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds (Standard Range) and 6.9 seconds (Long Range). It’s not a typo - the Standard Range (which costs 25 grand less than the Long Range) accelerates 0.3 seconds faster. A talking point for sure, but it’s refreshing to know that brands are steering consumers towards more important stats like range! The vehicle offers a WLTP range of up to 475km for the Standard Range and 600km for the Long Range. Its 240kW DC fast charging system can recharge the 90kWh battery (Standard Range) from 30% to 80% in 15 minutes, and the 116kWh battery (Long Range) in 25 minutes.

The AVATR 11 will be open for test drives at Premium Automobiles Centre from 26 July. From 1 August to 16 October, it will be showcased at a pop-up showroom at UOB Plaza.
