BMW Launches 3 series Convertible in Singapore
Performance Motors Ltd (PML) introduced the fourth generation BMW 3 Series Convertible, completing the popular, premium compact saloon range in Singapore. The convertible is available in a 218bhp 325i or the powerful 306bhp, twin turbo 335i.

Features - Design
For the first time ever, this BMW convertible is available with an electronically retractable hardtop. The bodyshell is extremely stiff, and there is increased visibility out of the cabin.
The hardtop for the new four-seater BMW 3 Series Convertible adds safety, durability, and all-around practicality. BMW’s attention to detail avoids the compromises which are the norm for this class of vehicle.
Compared to the former 3 Series Convertible model, the rear side windows are 30 per cent larger and visibility to the rear has been enhanced by 38 per cent with the roof up.
The lightweight, three piece hardtop opens in a class-leading 22 seconds, disappearing completely into the rear end, and pops back up in 23 seconds – speed being highly advantageous to shelter from our tropical rain showers. As an option, the roof functions may be operated via the remote control.

BMW is one of the first carmakers in the world to use a new process for treating leather surfaces referred to as SunReflective Technology. In this case modified colour pigments serve to reflect the infra-red radiation contained in sunlight, effectively preventing the overheating effect otherwise experienced particularly in perfect weather for open-air motoring.
With the roof down, it's 350 litres of luggage space is only reduced by a bit, down to 210. This is equivalent to two golf bags.
Efficient despite Turbos
The BMW 335i convertible’s fuel consumption on the combined cycle is 9.9Ll/100km, underlining BMW’s philosophy of Efficient Dynamics.
Safety
In addition to all the safety equipment found in the standard 3 series, the 3 series convertible also features electronic rollbars, which activate in the event of a rollover behind the rear headrests.
Prices in detail
The list of standard equipment includes: A 6 speed automatic gearbox, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Park Distance Control (PDC) rear, Runflat Indicator, Rain Sensor and automatic driving lights, cruise control with brake function, leather Dakota seats, front and side airbags and Xenon headlights.
The 325i Highline adds equipment such as Navigation System Professional, a comfort access system, upgraded hi-fidelity in-car entertainment system and front sports seats.
The 335i Convertible Highline, meanwhile, ups the equipment level even further with additional luxuries like adaptive headlights and a Sports leather steering wheel with gearshift paddles and multifunction abilities.
Prices start from $215,800 for the BMW 325i Convertible with standard equipment. A 325i Highline version retails at S$235,800, while the top of the line 335i goes for S$265,800.
