BMW Asia has announced the launch of the all-new BMW 216 Gran Coupé. Built at BMW’s Leipzig plant, the second-generation model features a bolder design, improved driving dynamics, a new drivetrain, improved suspension and advanced automated driving and parking tech.

Coupe form factor

You’ll be greeted with a sleek side profile with a long bonnet, short overhangs and a flowing roofline. A sculpted shoulder and a subtle “2” near the Hofmeister kink add to its sporty character. At the rear, clean surfaces, slim lights and hidden exhaust tailpipes are enhanced by the M Sport package.

Leather-free cabin

Inside, you’ll get Coral Red/Black Veganza upholstery with contrast stitching. Milled aluminium backlit trims, BMW Curved Display and a redesigned gear selector contribute to a sporty and premium ambience.

M Sport bits, included

It comes standard with Adaptive M suspension in the M Sport package, offering improved agility and comfort through frequency-selective, mechanically controlled shock absorbers. It also lowers the car by up to 8mm and includes sport steering for a more dynamic driving experience.

122hp, 230Nm

It’s powered by a turbo 3 cylinder 1.5-litre engine with 122hp and 230Nm of torque, driving the front axles. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds.

Extensive equipment list

It offers an expanded range of standard features, including BMW Live Cockpit Plus with BMW Maps. Optional packages, such as the Equipment Package Professional, allow for customisation, adding features like the illuminated Iconic Glow kidney grille, BMW Live Cockpit Professional with Head-Up Display and Augmented View and Parking Assistant Plus with 360° surround view.
