Singapore and Malaysia based fans of the internationally acclaimed and multi award-winning BBC television series Top Gear can now take a short five-hour flight to Perth in December to catch it live in this region. The Western Australian capital city of Perth has won the rights to host the live arena version at Burswood Dome from December 8-10, 2011.

Presented by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Top Gear Australia’s Shane Jacobson, Top Gear Live will bring all the motoring mayhem and entertainment from the small screen to a live theatre experience featuring some of the world’s most expensive, powerful and absurdly modified cars.

Car football featuring Rascals and Robin Reliants, is bound to be the cause of some sensational silliness as matches are played out live on stage. Parts, panels and sparks are sure to fly – and that’s just before kick-off.

Top Gear’s The Stig, never far from the action, takes his pick of the star cars, demonstrating his renowned skills behind the wheel of a Ford Cobra Mustang and a fully transparent car (a world first), continuing the show’s tradition of making the seemingly impossible, possible.

Clarkson and May will be adding their usual dose of juvenile bickering to the proceedings and Jacobson will have to be on top form to compete in the various challenges presented to them. NASA-sanctioned (kind of) rocket cars, white goods vehicles and the car football are just some of the challenges that will see them go head-to-head on stage with undoubtedly hilarious consequences.

“We are excited to be visiting Perth for the first time. Australians get us and we get them. I guess when you think about it Australia and Britain are two countries that can tease each other and get away with it,” said Clarkson.

Don’t miss the world’s biggest motoring entertainment live show. Packed with heaps of pyro, noise, spectacle and mischief it’s sure to have audiences on the edge of their seats.

Tickets are priced from AUD69 to AUD249.90 and are bookable here from September 6: http://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/show.aspx?sh=TOPGEARL11
