COEs Mixed During First September Bidding Exercise

This afternoon saw 4,434 successful bids out of a total of 6,426 received during the first bidding exercise of September for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs).

Quota of 2067 @ $51,506, down from $53,334

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1372 @ $57,002, up from $56,500

Category B (cars above 1,600cc),


Quota of 175 @ $49,801, up from $48,001.

The commercial vehicle category C,


Quota of 362 @ $6,452, up from $6,352.

Motorcycle category D,


Quota of 458 @ $56,889, down from $56,956.

Open Catagory E,

The low number of COEs offered, are a current trend due to owners choosing to keep their cars longer.

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB, the Internet Banking facility of UOB, or via the OCBC phone banking services.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
