If you think diesel-powered vehicles are uncool, say hello to the Volkswagen Touareg R50 TDI
Volkswagen Group Singapore has launched the first of its range of diesel-powered cars here in Singapore and they are available for viewing and test drive at the Volkswagen showroom on Alexandra Road.
The 3 diesel vehicles launched are the Polo Bluemotion 1.4 TDI, the Touareg 3.0 TDI and the Touareg R50 TDI. The diesel-powered Polo claims 3.8 litres to 100km, making it not only one of the lowest in fuel consumption, but also in emission figures.
We had also briefly test driven the monster Touareg R50 TDI which houses a huge V10 turbocharged diesel engine that churns out 345hp and an earth-stopping 850NM of torque. Do keep a look out for our review of this monster - coming soon!
