F1: Caterham missed last day of test

Due to crash damage, Caterham didn’t fully utilise the 2nd test day at Barcelona. Kobayashi crashed his CT-05 into the barrier at Turn 3 in the closing stages of running on the first day after he lost the rear of the car in the high speed right hander that sent him off into the barrier. The damage to the chassis was extensive and could not be repaired in time. It is a safety precaution Caterham chose to take to prevent further damage. The car will be fixed and prepared for Monaco in time. Test driver Robin Frijns was supposed to take over testing duties, but can’t due to the damage.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
