Hyundai debuted their new seven seat ix55 SUV at the Paris Motor Show. Powering the SUV is a 3.0-litre V6 CRDi turbo diesel engine which delivers 240 hp and 451 Nm of torque. And for the first time, power will be transmitted through Hyundai's first six-speed automatic transmission.
Do not expect the large SUV to have blistering performance. Its 0-100 km/h time is around 10.4 seconds, and due to its sheer size, it will be consuming fuel at a rate of 9.4l/100 km in the combined cycle.
Other standard equipment includes suede-covered seats, an Infinity audio system, and dual-zone climate control with separate controls for rear passengers. These will undoubtedly help the SUV appeal more to European consumers.
