Italy Puts A Lamborghini Temerario On Police Duty
Italian State Police gets a seriously fast new recruit, with the Temerario taking on emergency organ and medical-supply transport.

Italy’s police fleet just got a serious upgrade. Lamborghini has handed over a Temerario to the Italian State Police, continuing a partnership that dates back to 2004.

And it’s not simply there to chase speeding cars. The Temerario will handle high-priority duties including the emergency transport of organs and medical supplies, where getting from A to B quickly can make a real difference.
It certainly has the hardware for the job. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 works with three electric motors to produce a combined 920 CV. The standard Temerario can sprint from 0-100km/h in 2.7 seconds and reach 343 km/h. This isn't Lamborghini's first police car, either.
The partnership began with a Gallardo in 2004, followed by the Gallardo LP 560-4, several Huracáns and the Urus Performante, which entered service in 2023.
In total, six Lamborghinis have served with the Italian State Police, supporting more than 200 organ-transport missions and over 1,500 road-safety education events.
So while the Temerario certainly looks the part in police livery, its most important job isn't handing out speeding tickets. It's getting lifesaving medical supplies delivered, fast!
