Jaecoo 5 EV And Jaecoo 8 PHEV Arrive In Singapore Amid Rapid Brand Growth
Fresh off a sharp rise in local EV sales, Omoda Jaecoo is strengthening its Singapore presence with two new SUV launches.

Omoda Jaecoo Singapore has expanded its local line-up with the launch of the Jaecoo 5 BEV and the Jaecoo 8 plug-in hybrid, strengthening the brand’s push into Singapore’s growing electrified vehicle market.
The launch comes amid a rapid growth phase for the Chinese marque. Omoda Jaecoo says it has surpassed 1 million global vehicle sales within three years, while its Singapore operations posted close to 600 per cent year-on-year sales growth. The brand also claimed the spot as Singapore’s third best-selling EV brand in the first quarter of 2026.

Designed as a compact lifestyle-oriented EV, the Jaecoo 5 BEV offers up to 402km of WLTP-rated range and delivers 155kW of power. Beyond the tech-laden cabin and driver assistance systems, the SUV also leans into lifestyle features with Pet Mode, Camping Mode and even a built-in karaoke function.

At the other end of the range sits the Jaecoo 8 Super Hybrid, a larger seven-seater SUV aimed at families and long distance touring. Pairing petrol and electric power, it delivers a claimed combined range of up to 1,200km, alongside 315kW of output and a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.8 seconds. The model also features adaptive CDC suspension, ventilated and massage seats and configurable three-row seating.
The Jaecoo 5 BEV starts from S$169,999, while the Jaecoo 8 Super Hybrid is priced from S$234,999. Both models are now available for viewing and test drives at Omoda Jaecoo showrooms across Singapore.
