JPN: Tour bus crash injures occupants

A tour bus collided head-on with a truck at 9:40am (8.40am SGT) on National Highway No. 5, in Nanae Town in southern Hokkaido. The bus was bound for Sapporo, the island's largest city, when the accident took place. There were 33 Singaporeans onboard the tour bus when the accident occurred, and half of them suffered minor injuries. A further 14 non-Singaporeans were hurt in the crash as well, although only one was severely hurt. Unfortunately, the drivers of both the tour bus and the truck were not as lucky, for they were killed in the crash. Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
