It's possible the show will be given a Friday night timeslot when NBC announces its fall schedule at their Upfront presentation this coming Wednesday. However, Variety notes that NBC is making it clear that the schedule they announce this week could very well change based on various factors, including how their pilots progress and what competition the other networks schedule – the other networks won't be announcing their lineups until the typical Upfront time in May.

Variety says NBC is looking to try to pack their schedule with as much original programming as possible next season, which could lead to several series sharing a timeslot which one would take over while the other was on hiatus. NBC's Marc Graboff told Variety the network is definitely looking towards more escapist fare, saying "People need to escape. Ben [Silverman's] programming strategy is to find some shows where people can tune in and then mentally tune out. That's his directive, and I think you'll see that reflected in the programs."
