Leapmotor Drives Momentum Behind Singapore’s Landmark Pickleball Tournament

The inaugural PPA Asia 500 Singapore Open has secured a major partner ahead of its debut, with Leapmotor signing on as presenting sponsor in a multi-year deal.

Taking place from 23 to 26 July at The Sports Arina @ Expo, the event marks Singapore’s first-ever PPA Asia 500 tournament. It’s also the highest tier of professional pickleball competition to be staged in the country so far.

Organised by Kin Productions and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, the tournament will feature Men's and Women's Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles events across both professional and amateur categories.

There is plenty at stake too. Professional players will compete for US$70,000 in prize money and 500 PPA ranking points, while amateur competitors will battle for a share of US$9,000.

Visitors can also check out a display of Leapmotor EVs during the tournament.

Headlining the showcase is the Leapmotor C10 SUV. The event has also attracted support from brands including Huttons Agency, PARKROYAL on Beach Road, 2XU, F&N, Charles & Keith, Panaflex, Skechers, FedEx and Asahi.

Interest in the tournament appears strong, with around 95 percent of player slots already taken up. Spectator tickets are now available via SISTIC, while fans can also look forward to side activities such as Pickle Rumble, a trick-shot competition organised by Pickle & Bones.

For Singapore's rapidly growing pickleball scene, July's tournament looks set to be its biggest stage yet.
