Local News: Audi A1 set for Jan 2011 launch
Audi's fashionable supermini model, the A1 is set to be launched into the Singapore market in January 2011, it was revealed at a sneak preview of the next big Audi here today.
The Mini rival will be available with the Golf's 122bhp 1.4-litre turbo motor from launch. Like the Golf, the A1 i.4 TFSI will utilise a seven-speed twin clutch transmission. Prices have not been confirmed but Audi Singapore has said that it will be priced competitively next to its Mini Cooper rival. The A1 is set to further strengthen Audi's growth in the premium class - the brand has reported record worldwide sales in the first half of 2010 as well as very strong sales in Singapore.
