Local News: Updated Volkswagen Tiguan goes on sale next week
Volkswagen Centre Singapore has previewed the new Tiguan at a media event today, with sales of the new car starting next weekend, the 24th of September.
The new Tiguan can immediately be recognised by its new Volkswagen corporate face which makes it resemble its Touareg big brother a tad. Other exterior changes include new tail lamps with the increasingly familiar L-motif for the lenses. Under the hood, the two variants on sale get the same new EA888 TSI lump with 10bhp more than before for the base model (now 180bhp) and the Sport (now with 210bhp). 7-speed DSG gearboxes are standard for both models. As usual, the Sport not only comes with more power but also more standard kit like a panaromic sunroof, LED daytime running lamps with bi-xenons etc over the base model.The 180bhp base Tiguan has a sticker price of $154,800 while the Sport is a reasonable $179,800.
