Massa in critical condition
Ferrari driver placed in an induced coma following his accident during qualifying for the Hungarian GP.

During the qualifying session, Felipe Massa's head was struck by a spring that came from fellow Brazilian Rubens Barrichello's car. The impact upon Massa's helmet caused skull damage and a brain concussion.
Immediately after the incident, Massa was airlifted to a nearby hospital where his injuries were operated upon. Following the operation, doctors placed him in an induced coma, a procedure normally done to patients who have suffered this kind of head injury.
No complications occurred during the surgery. Massa is expected to be brought out of the induced coma on Tuesday.
