Ahead of a planned debut at the Detroit Motor Show, a Russian site - Auto Tuning News - obtained video footage of the Audi R8 V12 TDi concept and subsequently placed it on youtube.
The R8 with the V12 TDi engine is said to put out 500hp with 1,000 Nm of torque and accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. The top speed of 300km/h is virtually unheard of for a diesel.
The best bit? Despite it's un-diesel like performance, the fuel economy is said to be diesel-like with 10 litres of diesel consumed for every 100 km travelled.
