Motul Rolls Out New Engine Oil Specifically Tuned For Hybrid Vehicles

Motul has launched NGEN Hybrid in Asia Pacific, a new lubricant designed specifically for hybrids (HEVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). Part of Motul’s sustainable NGEN range, it meets the needs of hybrid engines, enhancing efficiency without compromising performance or sustainability.

While self charging hybrids have proven successful for a good number of years, PHEVs have only recently gathered pace. We reckon it's due to a combination of reluctance to go fully electric, and PHEVs' tendency to surpass the psychological 1,000km per tank and charge mark - and that's already a conservative estimate!

This launch aligns with the fast-growing hybrid vehicle market in Asia Pacific. A report by MarkNtel Advisors forecasts an 18% CAGR for Southeast Asia’s hybrid electric vehicle market from 2024 to 2030.

NGEN Hybrid is the newest addition to Motul’s NGEN series of sustainable, high-performance engine oils. It meets the demands of hybrid engines and exceeds the latest API SQ and ILSAC GF-7 standards.
