The new Skoda Superb has been tested by Europe's leading independent crash test organisation, EuroNCAP. The Skoda withstood the punishment well and received a maximum of five stars (out of five) for adult occupant protection, 4 stars (out of five) for child protection and 2 stars (out of four) for pedestrian safety.

EuroNCAP noted that the knee-airbag in the new Superb contributed to excellent protection of the occupants' knees and thighs. The entry level Superb counts seven airbags in total, anti-whiplash front seats and a more rigid body. Optional premium equipment includes two additional airbags and adaptive front lighting system amongst others.

“The new Superb has been developed to provide the occupants with maximum possible safety. The Euro-NCAP results confirm that we have managed to produce a top-quality vehicle in terms of performance, user comfort, as well as safety - one of the key aspects from the customer's perspective. And I am indeed very pleased about that”, said Dr. Eckhard Scholz, Škoda Auto's Board of Director Member responsible for technological development.
