NIO EVs Will Be Exclusively Distributed By Wearnes Automotive In Singapore
Singapore will be the first market in ASEAN to welcome the Firefly hatchback - retail to begin in Q1 2026.
Wearnes Automotive has signed a partnership with NIO to become the exclusive distributor of its EVs in Singapore, marking a collaboration focused on innovation and premium experiences.
NIO has established R&D and manufacturing centres in over 10 locations globally and a sales network across 10 regions, serving more than 350 cities. Its lineup includes nine premium NIO EVs, one ONVO EV, and one high-end Firefly EV, with total deliveries reaching 785,714 vehicles by 30 June 2025. These make it a leader in the premium BEV segment above RMB300,000.
NIO stands out for its early European expansion and advanced battery-swapping technology (you might have already seen some videos on YouTube!). As part of NIO’s global right-hand drive strategy, Singapore will debut the Firefly lifestyle hatch, NIO’s first RHD model, paving the way for a broader regional rollout.
Wearnes Automotive will begin NIO retail and aftersales operations in Q1 2026, while both companies explore implementing NIO’s battery-swap technology and NIO House concept, with more product and rollout details to follow.
