Ralliart To Close for Business
Ralliart Inc's President Masao Taguchi announced closure of Ralliart's business to be effective 1 April 2010.
The partial cease of Ralliart's business is mainly due to the economic crisis resulted from the financial market failure in 2008 and has proven to be particularly hard hitting for the Mitsubishi's Motorsports arm.
With the scale down, Mitsubishi would cease the following business and operation:
- Motorsports support including participation in races, technical support and Mitsubishi/Ralliart Driver of the Year Award
- Planning, Development and Retail merchandise of Ralliart Products (except for FIA VO parts but will be manufactured under Mitsubishi Motors Corporation)
- Dispatching of news on products and motorsports at Ralliart website
The above operations will cease from 1st April 2010.
