See the new Kia Carens on the web
Those with multi-generational families rejoice – the new Kia Carens will be here in a couple months – end ’06 or early ‘07. The Carens has established itself as one of the most affordable MPVs on the market, and offers 3-rows of seats within a body that is not longer than that of an average family sedan. Any family with even two kids in child seats will know what difference an extra row of seats means. The new model promises more of the same - powered by a 2.0-litre CVVT engine, with a cabin that has 3-rows of seats, all packaged within a body not much larger than a Corolla Altis. In anticipation of the launch, the kiamotors website: http://www.kiamotors.com/ features several videos of the car, as well as some interactive webpages highlighting key features found in the new Carens. It seems the seats within the cabin have become easier to flip and fold, and that noise insulation has improved. The other car that is featured on the kiamotors website is the C’eed, which is an attractive 5-door hatchback that has been designed and built exclusively for the European market. According to the Kia importer there are no immediate plans to import the C’eed, but if suitable pricing and spec level can be achieved, importation cannot be ruled out. Hmmm . . .
