SG: LTA to match Malaysia's Toll Charges

LTA has decided to match Malaysia’s increase in toll charges, and will implement the said increases on the 1st of October. Expect to pay $3.80 in toll fees if you are in a car, which is an increase from $1.20 previously. Also, for cars entering Singapore, a toll fee of $2.70 will be charged. Motorists will have to pay $6.50 for a round trip, which is roughly 5 times the amount as compared to before. For vans and light commercial vehicles, you’ll have to pay $5.80 to leave Singapore, and to pay $4 to re-enter the country. For those crossing the causeway in heavy vehicles, expect to fork out $7.70 to leave Singapore, and $5.30 to enter again. If you happen to drive a bus, a fee of $3.10 will be charged for leaving the country, and you’ll have to part with $2.20 to re-enter the country. If you happen to drive a cab and have to shuttle your guests across the causeway, you will have to pay $1.90 to leave Singapore, and $1.50 to enter it again.   Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
