SG: Pair of new range-topping junior Porsches launched
The more potent, adrenaline-packed range-topping GTS editions of the eagerly-awaited Boxster and Cayman is launched on local shores.
The local Porsche Boxster and Cayman range has recently been joined by an all-new, more potent range-topping variant – the GTS.
Based on the Boxster S and Cayman S, there is a plethora of changes that differentiate the GTS variants from the lesser variants, ranging from power bumps to unique styling cues to alterations under the pretty bodies of the roadster and the coupe.
Power of the GTS variants is upped 15 bhp from the S variants, while torque is increased by 10 Nm. On the outside, the GTS features a new bodykit, new bi-Xenon headlights, standard Carrera S wheels, LED taillights with smoked lens covers, and black-tipped tailpipes, just to name a few. Under the skin, the GTS models benefit from new sports exhaust systems, unique GTS-embroidered seats, and SportDesign steering wheel as standard. The PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) is fitted also as standard, as is the PDK gearbox.
Exclusive of COE, prices start at $333,988 for the Boxster GTS and $356,688 for the Cayman GTS. A 5 year warranty and free maintenance package is included to sweeten the deal.
