Spain: Ford Fiesta crowned Car of the Year in Catalonia
Ford Fiesta's list of awards is growing.
The new Ford Fiesta was recently awarded the honour of [I]Car of the Year 2009/I] in the passenger car category.
The awards, which are now into their 35th year, is held to recognize the most innovative new cars introduced to the Spanish market during the past year.
Viewers and listeners of Spain's [B]Telemotor[/B] and [B]Radiomotor[/B] TV and radio programmes were given a list of new car models to vote on. Viewers and listeners alike voted the Ford Fiesta as their favorite passenger car.
The Ford Fiesta has been a success in the Spanish market, with more than 12,000 units sold since its introduction in September of 2008.
