Sweet Revenge for WRX Challenge winner!
Singapore, November 7, 2006 – At 2.56pm today, 25 year old Navy Regular, Alex Koh remained the last man standing at Ngee Ann City Civil Plaza. Exhausted, drained but certainly victorious. This was after a grueling 73 hours and 56 minutes under sun, rain and an impending haze threatening to return! Alex is the last man standing and winner for this year’s “MediaCorp Radio Subaru WRX Challenge” outlasting 319 other contestants. This is certainly sweet revenge for the last year’s runner-up...

Alex proved to be the master of determination and stamina by lasting a total of 73 hours and 56 minutes under the relentless sun and occasional torrential downpour. For his impressive effort, he takes home the grand prize of a Subaru Impreza WRX 2.5 tuned by STI.
The first runner-up was 36 year old Graphic Designer, Johnny Chua. Both contestants were held in a deadlock after the third contestant, 31 year old Staff Nurse, Lee Lian Phua dropped out of contention. Johnny finally admitted defeat when he raised his hand, bestowing the title of Challenge champ on Alex.
Alex and Johnny were part of the inaugural Invitational Car Challenge. Alex was also last year’s runner-up. They were specially invited back to participate in this year’s Challenge. During the second qualifying round on 4 November 2006, Alex drew his assigned palm print that was numbered 320 standing just two spots away from Johnny. He beats the odds and weather to take home the Challenge champ title, showing no mercy to the other contestants.
