A badge that it wears boldly, “The Most Intelligent Executive Saloon”, the tenth-generation E-Class combines a premium grade interior with numerous technological innovations. 28 July 2016 marked the official launch of one of the world’s most important and iconic Executive Class sedans.
The launch at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre showcased the E200 EXCLUSIVE, AVANTGARDE and AMG Lines.
New design lines and their AIRPANEL shutter system work in-sync to create a car with a record-breaking drag coefficient of 0.23. Featuring higher use of aluminium and ultra-high-strength steel components, the new E-Class is not just lighter, but more rigid than the car it replaces. The reduction in weight contributes to better handling and higher fuel efficiency.
Featuring a near-endless list of safety features, like Evasive Steering Assist and Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function and their next generation driving assistance systems, just some of the innovations, the new E-Class takes active and passive safety to greater heights.
Longer than its predecessor by 43mm, the 4923mm car looks well proportioned, casting an exciting coupe-like silhouette. An even longer wheelbase of 2939mm, 65mm over the previous model, and an available AIR BODY CONTROL multi-chamber air suspension, ensures greater passenger comfort and legroom.
