TomTom Launches Bandit Action Camera at COMEX

As you might recall, we tested the TomTom GO610 earlier this year and rather liked it. Now, TomTom has announced its intention to enter the action camera market by way of the new Bandit.

The new Bandit action cam is the first ever camera to come with a built-in media server, enabling you to edit and share videos quickly and easily. This is done via a smartphone app, to which the camera is wirelessly paired. Without the hassle of lugging a laptop around, users will now be able to create and share exciting videos with friends and family. All you’ve got to do is shake your phone, and you’ll be able to do all of the above. Oh and did I mention, it records in full 4K resolution.

The TomTom Bandit comes equipped with an in-camera motion sensor as well as a GPS sensor, which will automatically find and tag exciting moments based on speed, altitude, G-force, acceleration and heart rate. Your heart may stop from all the excitement, but the camera certainly won’t.

Drivers loyal to the brand, fret not. TomTom will also introduce the new Start50 GPS, available for the first time in Singapore. The 5” device comes with our favourite Lifetime Maps of the region as well as Australia and New Zealand.

TomTom will be making an appearance at this year’s COMEX show, with a range of exciting new offers for drivers, fitness and action enthusiasts. Held at TomTom booth 305, Level 3 Suntec Singapore from 3-6 September 2015, visitors will be able to try out the new TomTom Bandit

Action Camera as well as the TomTom Start50, among the existing TomTom product line-up of GPS devices and sport watches.

The Bandit Action Camera is priced at $599, while the Start50 is priced at $199. Special offers are available at the show, and on top of the standard show discounts, visitors can trade in their old personal navigation devices or GPS sport watches and receive a $50 voucher. This voucher can then be redeemed at the show for further discount when you buy a product from the TomTom GO range or TomTom GPS Sport Watch range.
