Toyota updates RAV 4

Borneo Motors (Singapore) Pte Ltd announces the introduction of the updated Toyota RAV4 2.4.

New and improved changes that can be expected from the new minor change RAV4 2.4 are:

[B]New Styling and Design[/B]

i. New design changes to front bumper, radiator grille, headlamp, fog lamp, rear bumper and rear combination lamp.

ii. Turn signal lamp has been built in with the side mirror.

[B]More Spacious Interior[/B]

i. The wheelbase has been lengthened, increasing the couple distance between the front and rear seats by 120mm to enhance the comfort of the rear seat.

ii. The shoulder room between the front seat passenger and driver has been expanded to increase couple distance by 30mm.

iii. A newly developed rear suspension with a shock absorber positioned diagonally under the floor resulted in 230mm increase in width between the interior wheelhouses, thus enhancing luggage space utility.

iv. Sporty tilt-down function for the rear seats allow it to be stowed under the floor , extending a flat rear deck.

v. The rear deck includes a large capacity storage box accessed via an easy-to-use two-piece folding cover.

[B]Comfortable and Safe Drive[/B]

i. Power adjustable driver seat has been newly adopted in the Premium model

ii. Front seats are equipped with active headrest

The facelifted RAV4 continues to appeal with its rugged yet sophisticated personality which is further defined with these unique characteristics:

1. [B]Advanced Performance[/B]
The real-time 4wheel-drive with Active Torque Control 4WD system allows the vehicle to switch continuously from 4x2 to 4x4 mode, enhancing stability and fuel economy.

2. [B]Superior Comfort[/B]
Long wheelbase that accommodates 5 adults comfortably with flexibility of cargo spaces.

3. [B]Enhanced Safety[/B]
The Premium variant offers the Hill-Start and Downhill Assist Controls to ensure smooth hill starts by holding the vehicle through automatic brake pressure application for approximately two seconds and prevent backroll. Downhill Assist Control (DAC) automatically applies hydraulic pressure to the brakes to maintain a constant low speed, without locking the wheels.

4. [B]Superb Maneuverability[/B]
Despite the lengthened wheelbase, the RAV4 has one of the most competitive minimum turning radius of 5.3m in its class.

The RAV 4 will be offered in two variants: [I]Standard[/I] and [I]Premium[/I]. The Premium model will be equipped with the following features:

- Moonroof

- Vehicle Stability Control with Active Torque Control

- Hill-Start Assist and Downhill Assist Controls

- Audio switches on the steering wheel

- Leather seats

In addition to the standard driver and passenger side airbags, the Premium variant also features curtain, side, and knee airbags.
