Updated Skoda Kamiq Compact SUV Is Now Cat A Eligible

New proportions

The updated Škoda Kamiq has a stronger SUV presence with a silver underbody diffuser and an octagonal, more upright grille. The split headlights have new proportions, with a slimmer upper section and a larger lower cluster. LED front fog lights are integrated into the Air Curtains, while the rear LED lights feature animated indicators and new L-shaped graphics.

Recycled fabrics

Upholstery and trims use recycled fabrics for the seats, carpeting and floor mats. It incorporates natural materials like hemp and kenaf fibers in the door panels and headliner. The Design Selection "Lodge" features Suedia microfibre, copper-coloured accents and standard LED ambient lighting that switches from white to red.

Typical Skoda affair

The infotainment system is now upgraded, featuring an 8.25-inch free-standing touchscreen with two rotary buttons and a glazed front. It retains “Simply Clever” features like the umbrella holder in the driver’s door and a tyre tread depth gauge made from recycled plastic. New additions include smartphone pockets on the front seat backs.

It’s not an EV!

It’s powered by a 1.0-litre TSI engine, which offers variable control of intake and exhaust valves, a 350-bar injection pressure and features a high-compression Miller cycle and variable-geometry turbochargers. The engine delivers 85kW (115hp) and is paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission - nicely suited for Cat A COE.
