Vantage N24s Triumph at Silverstone
Aston Martin enjoyed a remarkable result at the Britcar 24-hour race at Silverstone over the weekend; scoring an unexpected one-two-three in class and an impressive 2nd, 3rd and 4th overall.

Three N24s began the race on Saturday afternoon amongst a total entry field of more than 50 cars - two cars from Beechdean Racing and the third, one of Aston Martin's own N24s - affectionately known as Kermit - which was loaned to Autocar for entry in the race.
Three journalists from Autocar - editor-at-large Steve Sutcliffe, chief road tester Matt Prior and senior road tester Jamie Corstorphine, were joined by Aston Martin's vehicle dynamics manager, Chris Porritt in Kermit and after qualifying 20th overall, gradually began to work their way up the order thanks to a combination of consistent driving and impressive pit stops.
Autocar's Jamie Corstorphine said: "What a weekend - and what a result. I feel honoured to have been part of it - and I'll never be able to watch an F1 driver spraying the bubbly from the podium without being reminded of it. Brilliant."
Matt Prior added: "Going into the race we thought that if we kept our noses clean we might end up scraping a top ten finish. It's really thanks to the reliability and fuel efficiency of the car, it's brilliant preparation, some top-drawer pit work and the nous of Graham Humphrys our team manager that we eased into third."
