Volkswagen Passat Coupe
Cheaper alternative to the Mercedes CLS.
Volkswagen released official photos of their highly-anticipated Passat four-door Coupe ("CC") which is based on the Passat platform. The new coupe, riding 5cm lower than a standard Passat and lengthened by 3cm, is modeled after the Mercedes CLS.
Engine options for the CC includes a 160 hp 1.8-litre TSI unit, a 200 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged FSI unit and a range topping 3.6-litre V6 FSI model producing 300 hp. Power will be transferred via Volkswagen's newly developed seven-speed DSG gearbox.
