Wolfgang Huppenbauer appointed as President & CEO Daimler South East Asia
[B]Singapore, January 5, 2009[/B] - Wolfgang Huppenbauer has been appointed President & CEO Daimler South East Asia Pte. Ltd., with effect from January 1, 2009.
He succeeds Dr Rainer Thiel who retired on December 31, 2008.
Prior to his new assignment, Mr Huppenbauer was President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Thailand.
Wolfgang Huppenbauer has been with Daimler and the brand Mercedes-Benz for almost three decades. He comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge about the automotive business in Asia, due to his previous assignments in Australia and Singapore with functions in South and North East Asia.
Wolfgang Huppenbauer's scope of responsibilities covers Singapore and Daimler's general distributor markets in South and South East Asia, such as Brunei, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
